The example at left is roughly 7" x 9".  The cost of this particular invitation was $80.00 plus my flat-rate shipping charge.  A stained glass frame similar in size (or smaller), using this basic design at left and glass colors I normally stock, starts at $80.00.  Please continue reading for a more detailed explanation of possible additional costs.

Many people write and ask how much I charge to frame invitations.  I have stated the cost here and elsewhere on my site.  Let me repeat:  My base price is $80.00.  However, until I see the actual invitation, I cannot quote a firm price because my customers tend to leave off important information such as a special color or type of glass desired, which would require special ordering, extra three-dimensional embellishments included on the invitation such as charms or ribbon, design adjustments or changes, addition of pressed flowers or other customizations, oversized invitations, and thick or multilayered card stock, to name a few examples.  All these "extras" result in extra expenses to me which result in extra charges to you, the customer.  Please note that red glass and cranberry glass are considered premium colors and as such are very expensive.  If your choice is to include red or cranberry glass in your wedding frame, expect a small extra charge of $5.00 to $10.00 for this premium color.  Invitations that are multi-layered, have three dimensional charms or additions, or that use heavy cardstock require the use of a special technique to allow all thicknesses of the invitation to be "sandwiched" between the clear glass and still fit in the lead channel.  This method is unique to Glassy Lady and was arrived at after much research and consultation.  Because of that, there is an additional charge for this technique of approximately $75.00.

Having said all that, the majority of invitations I frame fall into the $80.00 category.  I just want my customers to be aware that other possibilities exist.

Procedures for Ordering
It is advised that you order well in advance of your delivery date.  Please mail two copies (if possible) of the invitation to my studio.  Click here for all necessary contact information.  Please include your name, address, and telephone number as well as your email address.  You may also include a note with any color preferences or other details you'd like me to know.   Once received, I will contact you via email.  We can then work out any further details and make payment arrangements before I begin work on your invitation. 

Payment Information
Custom work is to be prepaid after a design and price have been agreed upon.  I do not begin work on your item until I receive payment.  I accept credit cards (via PayPal) or checks.  If paying by card, I can provide a custom link to my secure shopping cart.  If the basic charge is the final amount agreed upon, you can simply return to my wedding page and click on the "Buy Now" link.  If you prefer to pay by check, you will need to send that before work can begin on your invitation.  Click here if you'd like to fill out an order form and mail a check.

There are no refunds for custom work.

Shipping and Delivery Information
When I have received payment and am finished with your invitation, I will ship your item (usually USPS).  Once the invitation leaves my studio and is handed over to the carrier, I no longer have any control over it.  I cannot predict when it will be delivered; I can only tell you the date on which I shipped.  If requested, I send your items using overnight delivery or expedited 2-day delivery.  This will, however, result in additional shipping charges.  Again, it is best for you to save yourself some money and order sooner rather than later.
